Beschreibung der Veranstaltung
Die BMBF-Nachwuchsgruppe REXKLIMA lädt zu einem Vortrag des REXKLIMA-Gastwissenschaftlers Prof. Rafal Riedel ein:
The political discourse on the right wing of the political spectrum is constructed of diverse ideologies and narratives. One of the distinct features of the Polish one is its profound anti-Germanic character. It is manifested in various instances and dimensions, from Euroscepticism to (neo)nativism. It is present in specific policies, from climate and energy to migration. It is framed using miscellaneous interpretative schemes, from historical to futuristic. The Germanophobia of the Polish right is going to be analysed through the exploration of the parliamentary debates and in the context of the illiberal Zeitgeist that has been haunting Central and Eastern Europe.
Rafał Riedel ist Professor am Department of Political and Administrative Systems der Universität Opole (Polen) und Gastprofessor an der Universität St. Gallen (Schweiz).
