PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project treats National Socialist moral beliefs not as a separate field of research, but as an interface between research on Nazi ideology and the practice of domination (including research into perpetrators and anti-Semitism as well as research on national socialist racial science), the project combines in a distinct approach. The project primarily examines ideological, philosophical and medical ethics texts of National Socialism to uncover those historical and physical, racial and demographic, hygienic and biological arguments employed to condition Germans into thinking of themselves as a master race and ideologically to justify the exclusion of Jews from the scope of moral obligations as something ethically correct and necessary.
Wolfgang Bialas worked on completion of the book manuscript between 2012 and 2013. During that time he also prepared, together with LotharFritze, publication in German and English of the extended conference proceedings as Ideology and National Socialism. The three books appeared in 2014.
